The Bigger the Love (The Harder the Fall) is a song written by Billy Burnette, Larry Henley and Larry Keith and first recorded by Burnette for his 1981 album Gimme You.
Burnette would record the song again (albeit not on lead vocals) with John McVie's spin-off act John McVie's "Gotta Band" with Lola Thomas in 1992 and again on his 1993 album Coming Home.
