Steve Ferrone, born 25th April 1950, is an English-born drummer.

His initial fame came from his involvement with the Scottish blue-eyed soul group the Average White Band, playing on their hits Cut the Cake and Let's Go Round Again. After AWB disbanded in the early 80s, Ferrone went into session work, his credits including work with George Harrison, Duran Duran, Laura Pausini, Slash, Chaka Khan, Eric Clapton, Bee Gees, Scritti Politti, Aerosmith, Al Jarreau and Johnny Cash. One of his earliest credits as a session man was playing drums for Christine McVie's self-titled 1984 album.

In the mid-1990s, Ferrone joined Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, replacing original drummer Stan Lynch. Ferrone played on Petty's 1994 solo album Wildflowers and contributed to two tracks on 1996's Songs and Music From She's the One. By 1999's Echo album he was a fully credited member of the Heartbreakers along with future Fleetwood Mac member Mike Campbell. He would remain with the band until Petty's death in 2017.

Ferrone also did some drumming for Stevie Nicks' 2001 album Trouble in Shangri-La and returned to Christine McVie's house band for In the Meantime (2004).
