Fleetwood Mac Wiki

Stand Back is a song written and recorded by Stevie Nicks for her 1983 album The Wild Heart. The chord sequence was based strongly on Little Red Corvette by Prince who generously agreed to play keyboards on the track receiving credit neither for this nor his composition of the original keyboard riff. Nicks was inspired to write the song while on her honeymoon with Kim Anderson when they heard Little Red Corvette on the radio.

Released as the first single from The Wild Heart, it peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Nicks performed the song on all subsequent Fleetwood Mac tours until 2013, live recordings of it can be heard on the Tango in the Night video and the 2004 CD/DVD Live in Boston. The former performance also appeared on the 1992 compilation 25 Years: The Chain.
