Fleetwood Mac Wiki

Silver Heels is a song written by Bob Welch and recorded by him with Fleetwood Mac on their 1974 album Heroes Are Hard to Find. The lyric concerns a seductive woman and features cultural references to Paul McCartney and Etta James.

The lyric was rewritten as Hustler for a song on Bob Welch Looks at Bop (1999). The reference to Etta James was dropped for one to the more recently deceased Kurt Cobain. The song was left off some editions of the album due to its explicit lyrical content.

The original song was rerecorded by Welch for his 2003 album His Fleetwood Mac Years and Beyond.
