Love That Burns is a song written by Peter Green (with additional credit to Clifford Adams) and recorded by him with Fleetwood Mac for their 1968 album Mr. Wonderful.
The song is a gentle blues ballad with horn section accompaniment. In the lyric, the singer, enjoying a night spent with his lover, begs her not to break his heart in the morning. The song is thematically very similar to the classic Goffin/King song Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.
The song ends with a guitar solo from Green followed by a lengthy piano outro from Christine Perfect who would join the band two years later.
It was featured on the 1971 Greatest Hits album and also recorded by Gary Moore for his 1995 tribute album Blues For Greeny.
