In the Meantime is the third solo album by Christine McVie, released in July 2004. McVie had at this time retired from Fleetwood Mac and returned to live in her native England. There was no supporting tour although McVie made a few radio appearances to promote the album.
The album was co-produced by McVie, Ken Caillat and McVie's nephew Dan Perfect. Perfect also played guitar on the album and co-wrote a large number of the songs with his aunt as well as contributing two of his own. His father John (Christine's brother) wrote the sleevenote for the album.
The album also featured written collaborations with Robbie Patton, Eddy Quintela and McVie's former Fleetwood Mac colleague Billy Burnette.
It was McVie's last recorded work until the Lindsey Buckingham Christine McVie album in 2017.
