Dennis Morgan, born July 30th 1952 in Tracy, Minnesota, is an American songwriter whose songs have been recorded by Aretha Franklin,[1] Faith Hill, Barbara Mandrell, and Eric Clapton. With British songwriter Simon Climie he co-wrote Aretha Franklin and George Michael's hit I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) as well as several songs for Climie's duo Climie Fisher. The two of them wrote When It Comes To Love with Billy Burnette for Fleetwood Mac's 1990 album Behind the Mask.
Morgan would go on to write more with Burnette including all the tracks on Burnette's 1999 album All Night Long. The partnership also produced Now I Know for John McVie's spin-off project John McVie's Gotta Band with Lola Thomas (1992) which Burnette was a member of, three songs for Burnette's Coming Home (1993) and What a Woman Feels for Burnette's Are You With Me Baby (2000). More recently Morgan and Burnette wrote two with Shawn Camp for Burnette's 2017 album Crazy Like Me.
