All Over Again is a song written by Christine McVie and Eddy Quintela and recorded by McVie for Fleetwood Mac's 1995 album Time.
The song serves as a farewell to the band. McVie had already announced her departure in 1990 although she returned to record two new songs for the 1992 compilation 25 Years: The Chain and again to perform her song Don't Stop for US President Bill Clinton's inaugural concert in 1993.
McVie had only supplied songs for the Time album at the request of Warner Brothers - she did not appear on the preceding tour and most of her songs on Time featured guitar from session musician Michael Thomspon instead of existing guitarists Billy Burnette and Dave Mason (although Burnette played on one track, I Do).
The lyric bids farewell and expresses that even for all the tensions within the group and intense relationships, which cost her her marriage to bassist John McVie, she would not swap the experience for anything. A line in the last verse states that it is now time to "finally break the chain" - this alludes to the 1977 group composition The Chain which contains the line "I can still hear you saying you would never break the chain".
Despite all this, McVie returned to the group full-time in 1997 when the Rumours line-up reconvened for the live reunion album The Dance. She left again in 1998 but returned full time to recording and touring with the group in 2014.
All Over Again received its first live performances on the 2018 tour An Evening with Fleetwood Mac. For these performances the second half of each verse was sung by Stevie Nicks.
